Old Master Glazing Technique

I finally went back into a drawing I did on masonite and used a very old glazing technique that was used in the 17th century. Well, actually an adaptation of the technique using acrylics. I took this photo using my phone so the image isn't that good but you get a pretty good idea.
What I like about the technique is what happens to the look of a painting. even in a low light the glazes actually glow.

I recently visited his newest restaurant "Lavamatic" to enjoy a sunday brunch.

Just the best coffee and croissant. Then it was off the the museum to see the 3 faces of Rembrandt exhibit.

I just had to draw something and this seemed like the logical choice.

Here are a few black and white portraits Hand drawn from photos that some friends at the IM warriors forum.The beginning of a new service of mine. Sketch a Internet Marketer or something like that. Any suggestions on what this could be called would be appreciated.So, what is the difference between these and the others. Well, they are drawn to have alot more graphic power than what is generally out there in this market of drawing a photograph.I see alot of these on the net and are fine for home use, but I fin them to be lacking in power.These are meant to add a more human presence to a web site.

SFA Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein painting

The small ACEOs that I put up on ebay were so much fun do do that I had to do them again a little larger but still SFA small format art. They are 8.5 x11 watercolor taken from the original drawing and printed on card stock. I am still splashing color around just to see what will happen. They less thought I put into these the better they turn out.

I may put these up on ebay in a week or so just to see what will happen. But for now I am posting here.

These 2 are a little different. In my pop art theme that has been going on for some time now Frank Zappa and James Dean. It is has been digitally manipulated and painted in photoshop to achieve the look I wanted. Makes a nice print on 8.5 x 11 photo stock and then framed in a certificate frame.

I painted this 24x36 acrylic on cavas 40's type pinup for Jeremy Happy Birthday.
It has been awhile since I have posted. Much has been going on. I have opened an ebay store. And have done ok. Mostly selling old books I have around. Soon I am putting up some prints of more recent work. They are printed by me to monitor the outcome. Matted on an 11x14 black matte.

Beethoven was an exercise in speed. I think it took me about 20 min.

I am going to continue working with this image until I get it down to 6:30 min.

Welcome to my first post here.
I decided to put up my first image. My loft is an attempt to share I have done and continue to do over a period time.
My first one I thought would be a painting I did a long time ago in a studio I no longer have. I created alot of work in that studio. It was hot in the summer and cold in the winter. What else would it be. She was done in a mixed medium of charcol, liquid acylics thru an airbrush and pastel.
