Since I had to get my quick sketch chops back up last week I found out how much I missed doing that kind of work. So in keeping with the quick sketch here is our buddy frank.

There really is a point to all these portaits of Beethoven. This is my first 4'x6' painting. It's almost embaracing to tell how long it took. 7 min. but to be fair the paint wasn't the right consistancy and I did have to go back in to it. OK 15 min.

It was my b-day and final Friday here in Cincinnati, so I opened the studio and to my surprise 6 pieces sold. The biggest surprise was this piece of napoleon 32x40. I almost didn't put it up but a couple of friends convinced me. Glad I did.

Todays Painting David in Red

52x36 acrylic on unstreched canvas. I felt like keeping this more graphic approach and still keep classical skills. It's very interesting what happens when make arbitrary decisions based on a practical technique.

I really had a drawing itch yesterday and since I have been drawing so many men lately I just needed to draw some women. They are approx. 32 x 40.

A couple more paintings I did this week. These are so new to me and people who know my work that not everyone understands what I am doing including me.

Still working larger than usual. Beethoven is 32 x 40.

Mozart is 48 x 48. 2 different techniques.

Beethoven was an exercise in speed. I think it took me about 20 min.

I am going to continue working with this image until I get it down to 6:30 min.
